Thank you for letting us stop by and give you a joyous Christmas greeting as well as an end-of-the-year report of His goodness in our lives. It seems that I have heard more reports this Christmas season of different “religions” trying to wiggle their way into the manger scenes across the land and grab attention for themselves. The mark of a great church is not how many it seats but how many it sends!

The above statement really grabbed my attention when I saw it on an attractive poster in one of the churches where I was speaking several months ago. As I thought about it, I had to admit that during my days of pastoral ministry I was more engrossed in church growth than praying the Lord of the harvest that He might send forth laborers. Today I am not proud of that, and even ashamed. Why had I not figured out that God did not say pray the Lord of the harvest to fill the church, but pray the Lord of the harvest to send forth laborers? Read more »
