Poems From My Preaching

I Shall Not Pass this Way Again

I shall not pass this way again,
Lord, help me not to stray.
Take me by Your loving hand,
Please guide me all the way.

I shall not pass this way again,
Lord, encourage me as I go.
May I enjoy the good and bad,
that from Your hand may flow.

I shall not pass this way again,
Lord, may I a blessing be.
Where’er I go, what’er I say,
May it always glorify Thee.

Treasures On Eagles’ Wings

(Exodus 19:1-5)

God calls me a special treasure
On eagles’ wings I fly–
Above the storms and darkest clouds
I sour with Him on high.

A special treasure saved by grace
From sin’s dreadful snare–
By that grace I’ll hide in Him
And give Him my every care.

I’m scaling towards the Father
A treasure on eagles’ wings–
I’m heading for the kingdom
To hear the saints in heav’n sing!

Praise God For The Throne Room

(Hebrews 4:14-16)

Just inside the Throne Room,
Where mercy and grace abound,
Just inside the Throne Room,
Oh, the peace that I have found.

Seeing the Savior seated,
At the Heavenly Father’s right hand,
Waiting to give what is needed,
In accordance with His plan.

Hold fast to your profession,
Come boldly to the Throne,
With confidence just ask Him,
He loves to care for His own.

He’s touched by our infirmities,
Every need He understands.
Just meet Him at the Throne Room,
That’s all that He commands.

Joy in Affliction

I Thessalonians 1:2-10; 2:10-12

Afflictions in life are often the pilgrim’s way,
Hard times and sorrow seldom escape a day.

With patience of hope, we labor with love
Working by faith to please the Father above.

But in the midst of trials our joy still abounds,
Filled with the Spirit His love surrounds.

Called to walk worthy, unblameful and just,
Tis only possible as in His Word we trust.

The pilgrim’s High Rock when the deep billows blow,
Gives mercy, peace and joy that satisfies the soul.

Chosen in Christ we must patiently wait,
For that day of no affliction – just joy at the gate!

Doing the Will of God

Colossians 4:12, 17

Stand perfect and complete in all the will of God,
It’s not an easy task as onward we must plod.

Heeding His service it’s our mission to fulfill,
A submission and passion for God’s perfect will.

We look to those who’ve gone before,
So faithful and so true.
We’ll walk by faith and not by sight,
The Lord will guide us through.
