Maynard H. BeltThank you for visiting. This ministry of encouragement began several years ago while I was serving as state representative of a Fellowship of some two hundred churches and pastors. I well recalled how during the years of my pastoral ministry I thrived on receiving articles that would bring me in touch with the Lord, keep me focused on things spiritual and motivate me in my service for Him. So thinking I might do the same, the Barnabas File was created. I chose the name, Barnabas, because he was such an encourager to those around him (Acts 11:23). My purpose was to give inspiration, challenge and an awareness of the magnitude of God and His presence in our lives. This mailing initially was sent to the pastors of our State Fellowship but over the years missionaries, Christian workers and many others throughout the country and overseas have been added at their request. Some dear pastor friends “encouraged” me to create a website so that others might have access to these writings. I stand amazed at the grace of God in my life. I will be eternally grateful for my salvation (I Peter 1:3); all of my spiritual blessings (Ephesians 1:3); and the sufficiency of His daily mercies and comfort in all of the trials of life (II Corinthians 1:3). My humble prayer is that you might receive just a little encouragement from the Barnabas File as you make your journey to the City which has foundations, Whose Builder and Maker is God (Hebrews 11:10). Blessings on you.
